Orientation Information
Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, 28 April, 2022.
Orientation is the first class of the program. Jr sailors are expected to attend; parents / guardians are welcome.
We begin with a brief overview of the program, then the students break into their assigned groups, where the instructors will present material such as:
- Principles of sailing
- Parts of the boat and sail
- What to bring and wear
- Safety, etc.
The evening also provides an opportunity for parents to meet the committee members, and learn about the program.
If your child has a Personal Flotation Device (PFD / Life Jacket), please bring it. The instructors will ensure it fits properly. There is no additional cost for this event.
